Do you offer unlimited mileage?

Yes, all our rentals include unlimited miles!

What documents do I need to rent a car from AmeriRent?

Two (2) documents are required: a valid driver license and credit card.

Can I rent a car if I have a learner's license?

No, Amerirent does not accept this type of license.

Do you accept drivers licenses from outside of Dominican Republic?

Yes, we accept from around the world provided they are legible and valid.

Do I need an International driver's license to rent from Amerirent?

Although it is preferred, it is not required.

How old do I need to be to rent from Amerirent?

You need to be at least 21 years old to rent cars, however if you are under the age of 25, a fee of $5.00 + Tax per day will be applicable.

What is the minimal duration of a rental at Amerirent?

The minimal duration of a rental at AmeriRent is 1 day. You can return the vehicle before one day but note that you will be charged the 24h rate.

Can I rent more than one car at a time?

Yes, however they have to all be properly insured. Credit Cards for example, do not cover more than one vehicle at a time.

Can another person other than the renter drive the vehicle?

Yes, as long as they are included on the rental agreement. They do not have to be present, but we require a copy of their driver's license (front and back). Additional driver's fee is $3.00/day + Tax per driver.

Can I park my personal vehicle in your parking lot for the duration of my car rental?

No, for security reasons as well as space restraints, most branches cannot authorize overnight parking on their premises. Please verify with your branch.

Are there any restrictions to drive to Haiti?

Yes, it is not allowed to cross the border with Haiti in our rental vehicles.

Do you offer a shuttle service?

Yes, AmeriRent offers shuttle service. Call us and let us know where you are and we will arrange to pick you up.

Do I have to pay for the shuttle service?

No, AmeriRent offers this service to its clients free of charge.
